The denominator of this fraction has the value 10 which is 1 followed by one zero, hence the decimal point in the numerator 3 is moved one digit to the left, which gives 0.3.

**Similarly, the fraction** $$\frac{\mathbf7}{\mathbf{10}}$$ **is written as** **0.7**.
